Title: magnet
Post by: aeluh on June 06, 2005, 03:26:19 PM
hello

i am trying to find some information about metallic fibers and are able to be magnetized. i am also mostly in the dark about magnetizing a piece of metal. I am trying to make 54in strands that are able to be magnetized. any info will greatly appreciated.

thank you

As a side note some metals will only become temporary magnets.

As a side note some metals will only become temporary magnets.

certain metals are just more easily magnetised/demagnetised than others.

for example, iron is more easily magnetised steel, but is also more easily demagnetised than steel.

thus iron is more likely to be a temporary magnet, and steel is more likely to be a permanent magnet.
