I didn't have a good grasp on concept. Hence not being able to understand why when the p subshell is completely filled, the p electrons are spherically distributed.
And are there any ways that I can comprehend this concept easier? And what are the significance of equations for angular wave functions?

in some cases there are easy explanations(simetricity etc. ). BUt often it is just explained by very complicated caculation showing the most stabel energy level.
those calculation or aproximations require Quantic chemistry.
wit at lot af parcial differential eq.
the simpel case
find the electron distribution of H. would be apox 3 pages which took me some hours to understand( and I am a skilled matematician, wo like reading that stuff)
