determine the volume of 1.2,3-propanetriol (glycerol, d = 1.261g/mL) that contains 1.00 mol O atoms.
I am confused with the given here.
the answer is 24.3mL C3H8O3
the procedure the book gave was
1.00mol O atoms x 1 mol C3H8O3/3 mol O atoms / 92.095g C3H8O3/1 mol C3H8O3 x 1mL C3H8O3/1.261g C3h8O3
I didn't understand the question and how to work out the problem. Why do we need that 1.00 mol O atoms?? I know it's part of the question, but still.... May someone please explain it?

Because that's the bloody question! If it had said 2 mole of O atoms or 234567 moles of O atoms they would be different questions!

So how many moles of 1.2,3-propanetriol contain 1 mole of O atoms?
That many moles of 1.2,3-propanetriol weighs how many grams?
That many grams of 1.2,3-propanetriol has what volume?
