Who knows the hydrogenation of benzene using Rh/Al2O3 as the catalyst? In my experiment, the concentration of the catalyst is 1/5 of the amount of the document, other condition is same. Now ,the uptake of hydrogen has not been found.Who can tell me the reduced concentration of catalyst may influence the reaction or lead to the failure of the reaction.

What do you mean by "compound containing two benzene"? Biphenyl? Naphthalene? I'd suggest that the reduced catalyst loading may cause slower reaction, but not sure to what extent.

THank u!In fact, the molecule contain two phenyl.
