Title: Why magnesium chloride is a solid...
Post by: vanklik on October 17, 2009, 09:27:34 AM
Why magnesium chloride is a solid and chlorine is a gas at room temperature?  ???

Is it something to do with strong ionic bonds in magnesium chloride and weak Van der Waal's forces between molecules of clorine?

Thanks
