hello, I am new to the forum ;D
I just got a chunk of europium metal under mineral oil for my element collection, and i noticed it has a redish/brown coating on a portion of the metal... I am trying to figure out just what the heck the redish/brown stuff on this sample. could anyone help?
it has flecks of the typical yellow oxide on it with a hint of beautiful blue color
i will try to post a pic if possible, thanks for any help
