If I dilute 0.05 ml of a liquid into a 500-ml volumetric, I know my dilution factor is 10,000.
Now, if I take 0.05 ml of the liquid from that volumetric (10,000x dilution) and dilute it into another 500-ml volumetric, what is my final dilution? Is it 10,000 + 10,000 = 20,000? Or is it 10,000 x 10,000 = 100,000,000? Or...?
