Is there any standard for determination whether a substance is soluble?
x mg/ml?
thx

Anything that has the capability of being dissolved in a solvent (liquid).

ya i know.
so i thought there should be a definition for it, or all things can said to be soluble.

all things are said to be soluble, to an extent:
so the definition of solubility is kind of ambiguous. Go with your instructor's definition, he/she will define it for your class.
I think the definition I used before was something like anything >= 0.07g / 10 mL was considered as soluble.
