Title: Pretty large trade list, with a want list..
Post by: csrscience.com on November 14, 2009, 04:39:02 PM
I've posted what I have and want on another forum so to get a FULL view of some of the things I have.. please check out this link: http://indiescience.org/chemtalk/index.php?topic=17.0

Anyways, I've got things ranging from ring stands, clamps, evaporating dishes, bunsen burners, small bottles, magnets, various biological items, a few chemicals from mostly OTC places... , tubing, glass tubing, etc PM me if you think I might have something you'd be interested in...

I am interested in obtaining...

24/40 Glassware % others... *beakers, flasks, boiling tubes, etc*
Such as condensers, adapters -Including 24/40 to different sizes of ground glass anything, and 24/40 stoppers...

Money
If you don't have anything to trade, and you want something I've got you can send me some money.

Chemicals
Not to sure what, if any, but I figure if there is an interesting, safe-to-ship and unregulated chemical, I could easily be interested in it! especially if it is not the easiest to get.. Iodide salts would not be a bad thing...

Magnetic stirrer hotplate, etc...

Biological Items
I'm interested in seeds of various interesting plants, Spores of legal/edible mushrooms, wingless fruit flies, feeder roaches, etc.

Or most of all... Posts on my forum (yes.. if you become an active member on my site, I'll give you stuff if you post quality content...)

No H2O2 sorry

Also have you considered just buying it for the use as a drain cleaner?

With.. ironically, H2O2 and a bit of heating you can turn that black mucky H2SO4 into a nice crystal clear liquid and with a bit of heating you can get it close to 98%

Also consider making CuCl2 from CuSO4 (OTC at wally world) and NaCl or CaCl2 (Also OTC for an Ice melter..)

CuCl2 would be left in solution as the Na2SO4 or CaSO4 precipitate. CaSO4 is probably your best option... as long as you reflux it and allow it to fall out. Refluxing it will increase the size of the CaSO4 crystals and help it precipitate.

... with those chemicals: H2SO4, CuClx and H2O2 I kind of wonder what it is you are doing? Might also be another option around that... Etching some metal perhaps?
