Title: DNA base pairing
Post by: Jill on May 05, 2004, 12:56:26 PM
I have this question:  What sequence would compliment the following DNA sequence.
T-A-G-G-C-T-A

and in my chemistry book it informs me: remembering that A always bonds to T and C always bonds to G, go through the original sequence replacing each A by T, each T by A, each C by G and each G by C.

So would I get

A-T-C-C-G-A-T

does this look right?

You obviously already know the answer. :P

Thank you, just wanted to make sure I was understanding it correctly.  ::)
