Title: Finding DeltaH and DeltaE for a process
Post by: kinerd on December 24, 2009, 06:03:32 PM
When one mole of benzene is vaporized at a constant pressure of 1.00 atm and at its boiling point of 353.0 K, 30.79 kJ of energy (heat) is absorbed and the volume change is +28.90 L. (1 L-atm = 101.3 J)
a) What is DeltaH for this process?
b) What is DeltaE for this process?

I know you have to use DeltaH = DeltaE + PDeltaV but I don't know how to apply it.

Thanks!
