Title: Nomenclature of ethers

i need to draw the structure of 2-ethocyoctane
attached is what i tried, but the reply i am getting from my online homework is that: Make sure the EtO group is attached to the right part of the chain, but i was sure that it was.

What you have drawn is 1-ethoxyoctane.

oh my gosh, DUH!! thanks, i don't know how i could be so stupid. i have been staring at this problem for an hour trying to figure it out. thanks!!
