Title: GSI Element 114 study
Post by: Dan1195 on March 07, 2010, 07:20:54 AM
According to http://panda.physik.uni-giessen.de:8080/indico/contributionDisplay.py?contribId=56&sessionId=1&confId=16 (http://panda.physik.uni-giessen.de:8080/indico/contributionDisplay.py?contribId=56&sessionId=1&confId=16), GSI has found 9 chains of 288114 and 4 chains of 289114.

This is notable for a couple of reasons. First, now all 4 of the element 114 chains from Dubna have been confirmed. Second, GSI observed alpha branching of281Ds for the first time. From combined GSI and Dubna data the branching ratio for alpha appears to be similar to 279Ds which has more available data.
