Title: will the pka of a chemical have an effect if it is soluble in a solvent?

a friend has asked me this question thinking i would know but i dont. any help?

Instead of thinking about pka as a number, try to use what pka means about the properties of a specific molecule to predict how it will behave. You may see some trends then.
