Title: Potassium aluminum sulfate KAl(SO4)2·12(H2O)
Post by: wt2000 on May 15, 2010, 08:21:46 AM
Hi...
I am trying to mold Potassium aluminum sulfate into desired shapes.
my question is :
1. which one best: direct heat or jacketed heat ?
2. is it necessary to add other substances (such as plasticizer purposes) ?
3. some say adding glycerin is necessary : what is it for?
4. and some say adding Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is necessary too : what is it for?
5. what is the best molding material i should use? (is it rubber, plastic, steel..?)

Please someone answer my questions.

Thanks.
