Title: Identify ----..
Post by: marie on August 06, 2005, 07:31:49 AM
*delete me*  1.What solvent would you use to determine the density of magnesium nitrate?
I belive that water is use in finding density of a substance..ryt?

2.How can one distinguish between the gases H2 & H2S?
i hav no clue bout this question, mine would be that H2 has a subscript of 2 w/c means that it is a diatomic like the halogens. and that H2S is a compound that has a combination of a Sulfur.

3.Using water, how can one distinguish between the white solids KCl and PbCL2?
      absolutely no idea!

PLEASE HELP ME! tHAnks Very mucho...

1. Which method do you want to use. For flotation method we use mixutre of solvents that do not dissolve solute and show appropriate density.

2. What about odour of H2S?

3. PbCL2 is poor soluble in cold water
