Title: How do you post a bmp or cdx or docx file?
Post by: AbsoluteConfig on August 22, 2010, 08:31:39 AM
Hello,

I have never uploaded a file to be posted on a messgae board.  The possible files that I have are .cdx, .doc, .docx, .bmp and .jpg files.  Can all of them be uploaded?

How does one post a file to the message board?  How large can the file be?

I understand how to add a hyperlink to the message, yet not a file as those mentioned above.  Any help would be great.

Many Thanks in Advance (TIA)

This is a test for an upload of a .doc file with photos on it.

Well that file uploaded without a problem!

Next would be, how does a person post an image within the post.  Many of the posts have chemical structures that are visible on the post (message).  I tried to no cut and paste, yet it does not work.  There is obviously a way to do that, because so many posts have chemical structures in the message.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Now to see if the 'Post Image' works like I think it would work.

Thanks for the help  :)

Note: doc/docx files are in general a bad idea - they can be infected.

jpg/png/gif/pdf files are the best selection. svg won't be bad, but they are not supported.
