Title: Databases for organic chemistry
Post by: alphahydroxy on September 09, 2010, 09:16:58 AM
Howdy folks,

Couple of questions for the more experienced among you...

Firstly, does anyone know of a free or cheap search literature database that comes even anywhere close to Reaxys or Scifinder or Crossfire ?  I have had a look round and found a few, but nothing with the kind of power that I am looking for...

Also, can anyone provide me with or point me to a list of prices for Reaxys - seems to be rather difficult to find these things out...!

Thanks!

Did you try Chemspider?

http://www.chemspider.com/

I've heard this is the best free database, but I've not used it much as I have SciFinder and Reaxys access.
