Title: Sulphur dinitride
Post by: shelanachium on August 24, 2005, 05:05:36 PM
NSF3 with an S-N triple bond is a stable gas. As triply-bonded N has a very high electronegativity, might not SN2 with two S-N triple bonds be stable or at least capable of existence? It should be a gas with linear molecules like CO2, but probably more reactive than NSF3 just as SO3 is more reactive than SO2F2. Has anyone ever tried?
