Title: PE 1300 AAS Noisy chopper
Post by: mickey on August 25, 2005, 03:05:32 AM
Having problem with a noisy chopper.
AAS Instrument: Perkin Elmer AAS 1300.
Uses: Cold Vapour and Hydride Generation.
Lamp: EDL (electrodeless discharge lamps)
Effect of noisy chopper: minute vibration of EDL causing very noisy baseline drifts.
Action taken: checked posibility of chopper touching casing but that is not the case.

Any help, suggestions/advice would be appreciated.

Please check the chopper bearing, it may be lost of lubricant.
