Title: Question about Tin Halides, and why Iodide displaces Chloride.

So I have the equation

        Sn + 2HCL --> SnCl₂ + H₂

        SnCl₂ + 2KI --> SnI₂ + 2KCl

 Now it asks me why does the Iodide replace the Chloride? I have absolutely no clue.
