Hi,

Can someone please help, I have been trying to compose dot diagram for the subject ion.

Is Iodine part of the expanded octet? Do i have to add another iodine?

I cant figure it out, thanks

Are you sure the charge on it is -2 and not -1?

omg!!!!!   u r right!!!  no wonder i could not fidure it out!

so does that mean, all O atoms get an extra electron?

SORRY I MEANT ONE O Atom gets one electron
