Post by: Boxxxed on February 05, 2011, 04:15:42 PM
2.5 = 1.25+x / 2.00-x

I am having trouble with this, it's part of an equilibrium problem. I cannot get past this step, help appreciated

$$ 2.5 = \frac{1.25+x}{2.00-x} /$$
$$ 2.5(2.00-x) = 1.25 + x /$$
$$ 5.00 - 2.5x = 1.25 + x /$$
$$ 3.75 = 3.5x /$$
$$ x = 1.07 /$$
