Post by: missUK11 on February 06, 2011, 01:14:29 PM
Hello,

does anyone know how i could convert trimethylsilylacetylene (Me3Si-C(triple bond)CH ) using 4 steps into CH2=CH-CH2-CH=CH-CH2-CH2-OH

I have done an attempt and i think the first step would be a reaction with n-Butyl lithium, could someone help me please :/

thanks.
