Title: Identifying elements problem.

I am going on a contest next month and there is one part i need help with. There are going to be 4 tubes with different compounds in them. Next i am given different things (copper,matches etc.) to find out which element is in which tube. Any advice ?

if u know the characteristic reactions of the compounds , u should be able to answer that with ease.
