Title: Write down the reaction between 1-pentyne and 2 molar HBr?

Write down the reaction between 1-pentyne and 2 molar HBr?

should there be 2 br or 4?

should i have drawn 2 brs attacking in the middle step? or should there be four steps?

First Reaction   R-CCH  + HBr  => R-CBr=CH2

Second Reaction: R-CBr=CH2 + HBr => R-CBr2-CH3

why R-CCH doesnt it have to be 1-pentyne??

1-Pentyne is CH3CH2CH2-CCH

With R = n-Propyl CH3CH2CH2- we got R-CCH

oh ok, our teacher hasnt taught us that yet, we stil write out all the ch's
