Title: HNR, IR, UV and mass spectrum for chemical structure
Post by: FAFY on March 25, 2011, 05:18:41 PM
Hi everybody,

I'm a microbiologist. I need a help in my structure predication. This structure is true or false?
 elemental analysis:
C: 69.6 &69.3%
H: 5.61& 5.3
S: 15.18%

I don't know. With all of those vinyl protons, I'd expect to see more happening in the 5 - 7 ppm region.

NMR spectrum doesn´t fit the structure prediction. Will be difficult though with this spectrum. Do you have a LC-MS to confirm the compounds MS?

Hello, AC pro

Here i attached EI-MS spectrum and uv analysis

Note: my compound is aliphatic with melting point >360 and give one spot on TLC with Rf=0.56

Thanks for reply.

With my best regards

I don't know what you made/have but it definitely is NOT the proposed structure.

And also the molecule that you drew does not seem terribly stable either.
