Title: Topic Placement
Post by: billnotgatez on September 19, 2005, 09:44:34 PM
Should not the below thread be moved to humor forum and not terminated

"anybody noe a sentence using the symbols on the periodic table"

Why can some people comment and others are blocked?

The thread was locked, per forum policy, for gross neglect of spelling and proper grammar in addition to the member not even attempting the problem. Only admins and the moderator of the forum can post in threads that are already locked.

Sorry.  I couldn't resist the brutal irony in that post.   ;) :D ;D

I believe it is 'to' as 'too' designate more than one, or in excess.  Like 'I drank too much'.  Or 'I'll go to the party too'.  In your sentence, saying 'in addition too' is somewhat redundant, as your use of the word 'to' is a preposition of the word 'member' and not a statement of excess or 'as well'.   ;D

My point was not clear.
Had this item been posted in the humor section would you have closed the topic?
If you did not close the topic in the humor section do you think that it would have spawned lots of entries (not just from the privileged)?
Therefore would it have been better to move it rather than terminate it?
