Title: Reduction of Azides with Zinc and Ammonium Chloride. How does it work?
Post by: Slyos on September 30, 2005, 12:07:07 PM
Hi,

I have just found this paper:
http://www.erowid.org/archive/rhodium/chemistry/azide2amine.zn-nh4cl.html

as well as an exemple of application of a similar technic: Chem. Com. 2002, 426.

I tried to figure-out a mechanism for this reduction, but i have no clue.

Do you have any suggestion??
