Title: What makes 'pine fresh' fresheners fresh?
Post by: rosy on October 18, 2011, 08:01:05 PM
Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what makes pine fresh fresheners fresh? I'm assuming this is referring to the smell, so is this something to do with ketones or aldehydes maybe?
Bit random I know, but our lecturer has asked us to find out!

Many thanks :)

Your guess is pretty good, Wikipedia lists common components: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_freshener#Ingredients  The task for you is to use that list to come up with a good answer for your class, based on what you've learned recently, or what you've been assigned to learn recently/
