Title: SALC's and different atoms
Post by: sdnnet3 on November 13, 2011, 10:42:54 PM
so basically i'm trying to figure out how i would go about generating an MO diagram with OPH3 in Td (tetrahedral) point group geometry. the issue i'm having is how to combine the oxygen in with the mix for a bonding diagram. would i just generate SALC's for the hydrogens and add in the oxygen on the right side as a normal arrangement of 2px, 2py, 2pz and 2S (non-bonding 2S). or should i try to generate SALC's WITH the oxygen included?

anything you could throw my way to help me would would be hugely appreciated.
