I ran into this little page from Case Western Reserve University of Ohio tonite. There are some interesting conceptualizatons presented herein and the applications to micro lab techniques are obvious I think.

This has always been something I've wondered about, the combination of strong magnetic fields with chemical reaction to induce alternate reaction zones within a flask. I see that there has been a cell seperation technique determined as well {google search "Secondary Magnetic Field mixing product"}

Well, just something for the people working on a thesis concept for this year to ponder maybe.
