The standard enthalpy of formation for MgSO4?
Attempt:
Mg(s) + 1/8 S8(g) + 2 O2(g) --> MgSO4
However, I am not sure if the bold part is correct. What is the uncombined form of sulphur?

S8, even if it is not uncommon to balance reactions and do the calculations as if it was just S.
But I don't think it will be still S8 in gaseous form.
