Does 3-methyl-2-hexen-6-yne sound like a reasonable name for a structure?
The double bond has the lower number then the triple bond on the end.

4-methyl-4-hexenyne?
-
Yes the picture you have there is the structure, is what I wrote an acceptable IUPAC name?
In that name you wrote, what part describes the double bond?
-
4 for the double bond, I think the triple bond is 1 because it is at the end.

4-methyl-4-hexenyne
4-methyl-4-hexen-1-yne

In complex names like this, the number usually goes right before the functional group it is describing. So I think it should be 4-methylhex-4-en-1-yne.
