Will Silver, Cobalt, or Calcium would successfully reduce Zn+2 ions?
None!? because the choices of those elements doesn't have a +2 oxidation state?
-
You need to look at a reduction potential table...
-
how can you read one of those table? ::)
-
When two reduction half-reactions are used to form a cell, the half-reaction with the higher reduction potential proceeds in the reduction direction whilst the half-reaction with the lower reduction potential proceeds in the oxidation direction.
