If a U-tube manometer has graduations every 0.1mmHg, what is the absolute error in :delta: h measured on the device? remember that :delta: h requires you to read from two points on the scale (i.e. :delta: h = h2-h1 )
The answer is apparently 0.71 but for some reason i am getting 0.071
i did (0.05)^2+(0.05)^2 all "square rooted".
Please someone help me !!
thanks x

Having an error of 0.71 reading on a scale that is +/- 0.05 doesn't make any sense - if your first measurement was 10.2 and your second was 10.1, you would be reporting a difference of 0.1 +/- 710%?
I'm guessing the answer key misplaced a decimal. Your answer sounds better.
