Title: different browsers
Post by: Borek on November 05, 2005, 09:17:50 AM
http://browsershots.org/website/503463/

All results should be available in about 24 hours from now.

Seems that under IE picture buttons are surrounded by the blue line. But IE is known to be stupid.

Yeah, ie is stupid. This is a firefox compliant website only. I'm not going to optimize for ie. :)

There is a problem with knqueror when posting messages. The textboxes are really small and hard to type in. I can post a screenshot if anyone wants.

I agree.  IE is just a worm/virus magnet.  What are your thoughts on Netscape?  I keep getting error messages, but I'm not sure if that's related.

My understanding (not confirmed) is that Netscape is prone to use the IE engine (i.e. Active X) unless it has reason not to trust that website.  That is nowhere near strict enough for me.  I don't want to use IE/Active X if I can possibly avoid it.  So, Firefox for me.

P.S.  The recent Sony copy-protection uninstall fiasco involved SEVERE security risks with Active X.  That made me even more distrustful of all that.
