Title: Determining PPM Fe2+ in diluted solution?
Post by: jtraininsane on March 16, 2012, 02:06:59 PM
Hey guys!

I need to calculate ppm of iron in a 250 mL diluted solution of .0725M ferrous ammonium sulfate- Fe(NH4)2(SO4)2 ยท6H2O

I know that iron in FAS is 14.24% (55.85/392.14)..where do I go from here? Thanks!

In brief:
0.25*0.725*1*55.85= 10.123gr in 250ml
40.491gr in 1L
40491ppm
