Title: Converting Chemical Assays into pH
Post by: ZtheGreat on April 15, 2012, 04:52:57 PM
Hello everyone, This is my first post, and after a break from school, I have hopelessly forgotten how to convert an assay into a pH

For example:

Na= 31.1%
O= 21.6%
Cl= 47.3%
Molar Mass= 74g
[OH-]= .00398

How would I convert this into a pH? I've asked my teacher but I can't grasp the way it's being re-explained.

Thanks!

You should show an effort first, but I am in a good mood ;)

[OH-] -> pOH -> pH
