API means just what it says, and you know that already, active pharmaceutical ingredient -- it means the part of a formulated medicine that is "active" and works on a living thing. API is distinct from excipients, those ingredients they help us swallow the medicine, or help the manufacturer form a tablet, or increase the stability of the API. It is really pretty pointless to try and list all ingredients.
