Title: help with these problems {solutions, percentages}
Post by: netsfan549 on October 16, 2012, 12:27:56 AM
A solution is prepared by mixing 2.35 g of NaCl in water to make 175.0 mL of solution. The density of the solution is 1.05 g/mL.
(a) The solvent is _________________ (b) The solute is ____________________ (c) The % w/v of NaCl in this solution is (d) The % w/w of NaCl in this solution is ______________________. _____________________ (e)

Describe how you would prepare the following solutions:
(a) 140. mL of a 23.0% v/v solution of ethanol, C2H6O, in water.

Hey guys, I need help with this question.. Thank you so much

What is your own attempt? Where do you have questions on this exercise?
With the density you can calculate the mass.  So what is solvent,its a liquid here.
