Jdurg, funny you mention that one, it really does pay to be more concerned about washing hands BEFORE using the bog, than after in the case of amateur chemistry.

I learned that the hard way with KMnO4, was incredibly painful and burnt like hell for about two days, I now wear gloves when handling sodium or potassium permanganates, and after taking them off, check with wet paper all over my hands for specks of purple, although that has the disadvantage of not showing up NaMnO4, as its a sort of fluorescent (yes, I know, I know, not the correct term ;D) lime-green color

I learned my lesson the hard way after working with some capsaicin.   :(

Meh, you lot know whats f*$#&@? its that I have absolutely no reccolection of ever posting this thread, or for that matter, WHY I posted it, and as for that last post? what the hell?
