Title: ion liquid recovery!!!
Post by: BARAJAN on December 18, 2012, 08:29:36 AM
hi all
I'm working with deep eutectic solvents (DESs) as ion liquid in so many different reactions but I have many problems with ion liquids the biggest is:
my products dissolve in ion liquid I have tried to wash ion liquid with ethylacetate 3 times and water but the aqueous phase shows TLC which means my product loss with ion liquid
 :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
I'm tired of them I can't find any solution pls help :-\

What's your product? What is your DES? How much product are you losing?

my ion liquids are imidazolium based ion liquids and I have used them for so many organic reactions such as biginelli, willgrodt,... in all cased the product is dissolved in ion liquid. about the amount of dissolved product, unfortunately I don't access GC to predict but my yields are very low and TLC shows that my product has been dissolved in IL
