Just a general question, not homework or anything...
So I know that Magnesium reacts with water to create magnesium oxide and hydrogen
Mg + H2O -> MgO + H2
But i was reading about Magnesium oxide on Wikipedia, and it says that
"Magnesium hydroxide forms in the presence of water (MgO + H2O -> Mg(OH)2) "
Does this mean that the Magnesium Oxide created by Magnesium reacting with water will also react again with water to create Magnesium Hydroxide?

It will go straight to magnesium hydroxide.
Mg + 2 H2O => Mg(OH)2 + H2
Magnesium oxide can be obtained if you burn magnesium.
