Post by: zenith on January 21, 2013, 12:35:55 AM
Am using nile red for my experiments without any solvents. And am supposed to take the fluorescence imaging. As far as i know nile red fluoresce only when it reacts with organic solvents or lipids? Anyone with any idea or alternative for fluorescence ?

You can certainly try to make a fluorescence image without solvent or lipid.  It would all depend on the efficiency of you image system and what your application is.  Have you tried it?  What did you get?
