Title: Entropy
Post by: ZKR on January 23, 2013, 05:55:30 PM
Hey guys,
hope you can help with something here.

50 gr of Ethanol, fus temp: -114 C. vap temp: 78 C.
C solid = .97 J / g K
C liquid = 2.42 J / g K
^H fus = 4.6 kJ / mol
^H vap = 43.5 kJ / mol

1. Calculate amount of heat needed to get it from -135C to -50C.
2. calc ^S tot
3. calc ^S tot for 1 mol at 252K and at 352K.

Any suggestions on the stages of answering that?
