Title: "guessing" the crystal coordination of transition metal compounds
Post by: whitenight on April 30, 2013, 07:54:39 PM
Hello, I would like to know how I can guess or predict the structure of copper(II) triflate.

It is obviously not going to be octahedral, square pyramidal.

Bent linear seems likely.
How about the triflates forming part of a tetrahedral orientation?
