Title: Writing your resume in English
Post by: Albacoide on June 24, 2013, 04:23:38 PM
Hello,

I'm a chemical engineering student that will hopefully graduate next year, and is looking for a master program abroad.  To apply, I need to write a resume in English, which is not my mother tongue.

My specific questions would be this:

1.- I'll be doing my thesis the next trimester (I haven't started it). Should I mention that in the CV, along with the thesis' subject?

2.- Apart from that thesis, which will last 6 months, I'm doing a mini-thesis this trimester, which lasts 3 months.
Is the term "mini-thesis" appropiate or should I use another one?  Like research project, etc.
And I'd also like to ask if this sentence is correct (this is the mini-thesis' name):

"Evaluation of the adsorptive capacity of petroleum coke treated with microwaves"

Well, I guess this is a chemical engineering as well as a language question, but I guess it'll be more helpful to ask actual engineers. :P

Thanks!
