Can anyone tell if a precipitate will form if the Ksp for Fe(103)3 is 1.0 x 10-14. Two solutions at 25 ยบ C are mixed, one containing Fe3+ and one containing IO3- ions. At the instant of mixing, [Fe3+] = 1.0 x 10-4 M and [IO3-] = 1.0 x 10-5 M.

Generally, if the ionic product exceeds the solubility product constant, precipitation of the salt will occur.
