Title: sodium clorate from electrolysis?
Post by: DeadlyNicotine on September 10, 2013, 02:46:58 PM
hi, im new where and im from Portugal ;D

i want to make some sodium clorate for smoke (i know that potassium perchlorate its better that sodium clorate) so, i ill get an titanium cathode and mmo anode but i cant find mmo anode easily in Portugal and i dont want to buy it in ebay beacause the shipping costs, but the titanium i can get easily.

My question is: for testing the sodium clorate i can make a cell from stainless steel anode and cathode right?
270 g of sodium cloride and 500 ml of water with a 20A pc power supply how much time i need to change the cell? and change the anode/cathode beacause the corrosion. And how much (+/-) i can get in that time?

ps: sorry about my english i am improving

Thank You
